Transfer Printing Workshop (Tuesdays - 3rd & 10th April)

Come and create your own exciting designs, or some of the motifs from the exhibition, using paper bags, transfer crayons and paint! See your drawings printed on to fabric which can then be made into a work of art ready to hang on your wall. No requirements for class. Just bring your imagination!
 

Block, Roller and Mono Printing Workshop (Thursdays - 5th & 12th April)

Try your hand at using the same techniques / motifs as the artists in the exhibition. There are lots of different ways to make your own designs. Each participant should bring an apron as we will be using acrylic paint which can stain clothes. 

Dates: 

  • Tuesday 3rd - Transfer printing
  • Thursday 5th - Block printing
  • Tuesday 10th - Transfer printing
  • Thursday 12th April - Block printing
     
  • Times: 10am, 12pm and 2pm
  • Duration 1 hour 15 minutes
  • Location: School for Children, Craft Rooms
  • Age suitability: P1+
  • Price: £9 per child (+ one free adult), £17 for two children (+ up to 2 free adults), £24 for three children (+ up to 3 free adults)
  • Wet materials are used throughout the workshop, please wear old clothing or an apron.
  • Please bring a carrier bag to take home your creative work.

This session is being hosted as part of New Lanark's public programming linked to its current exhibition ARTIST TEXTILES Picasso to Warhol which is running daily until 29th April. Public programming participants can receive £3 off their ARTIST TEXTILES tickets when showing their session/workshop ticket at the Exhibition Gallery Reception Desk.
